Jakub Jan Filip Ceglarz was born in small town in the south of Poland. He decided to pursue art practice because his inability to do anything else. After finishing his BA at Middlesex University in London, where he developed his interest in body and its representation ('Moles' , 'Skin' ), he took a year off to focus on his lost love for writing. Unfortunately that love is still going on (unfortunately for those of us who like to read). He then started orientating himself around how text, photography and film can work together. Now after finishing his MA at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, he is pursuing his PhD research in ideas of The Palimpsest, Queer Enactments and Translation. His work is still mostly based in photography and film, and he still writes...
